Terms of Service

1. Who you are contracting with

CortexAI is operated by Aussi-Nexus Group (ABN 76 947 108 181), Shailer Park, Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.

2. What the service does

CortexAI probes web properties you register, detects defects in the responses, generates remediation guidance, and — where you explicitly enable it — executes a restricted set of remediation actions on infrastructure you control.

3. Your responsibilities

• You may only register properties you own or are authorised to monitor. Registering a third party's site without authorisation is a breach of these terms.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of server details you supply (process names, config filenames, ports) and for the consequences of actions taken using them.
• You must keep your account credentials and API keys secure.

4. Automated remediation — important

The self-healing feature is off by default and must be enabled deliberately, both in your account settings and in the server environment. When enabled, CortexAI may restart processes, reload validated web-server configuration, renew certificates and re-request URLs, without seeking your approval at the time.

Actions are restricted to a fixed allowlist, are validated before execution, are limited by attempt caps and cooldown windows, and are recorded in an audit log. Even so, automated changes to production infrastructure carry risk. You accept that risk when you enable the feature, and you are responsible for maintaining your own backups and for reviewing the audit log.

5. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. CortexAI is a monitoring and remediation aid, not a substitute for your own operational practices. Do not rely on it as the sole control for a safety-critical or revenue-critical system.

6. Fees

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in Australian dollars through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are not refundable except where required by the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use CortexAI to probe systems you do not control, to conduct load or stress testing, to circumvent access controls, or in any way that breaches applicable law.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that, our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. On termination we delete your monitoring data within 30 days.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to the address on your account at least 14 days before taking effect.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
